Directions to the Columbia County Historical Society

Columbia County and the Kinderhook area are easily accessible from the New York State Thruway (I-87 and I-90), the Taconic Parkway, and the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90).

From the East: Take I-90 West to exit B1. Go through the toll plaza and immediately take the ramp to the right following signs for Route 9 South and Hudson. At end of ramp, turn left onto Route 9 South.

Follow Route 9 South approximately 7 miles to the Village of Kinderhook. At the stoplight (intersection of Route 9 and Albany Avenue), turn right onto Albany Avenue. The Museum is the third building on the left.

From the West: Take I-90 East to Exit 12. Turn right at end of ramp onto Route 9 South. Follow the directions above from Rt. 9S.
