Guided Group Tours of the Luykas Van Alen House and 1850 Ichabod Crane Schoolhouse are available with advance reservation for adults, school groups and scout programs. The one-hour private tour include both exterior and interior of the 1737 Dutch Colonial homestead as well as the 1850 single-room Schoolhouse, and the 1.3 mile Dutch Farming Heritage Trail that connects the property to the Martin Van Buren National Historic Site in Kinderhook.  Bus parking available.  Restroom facilities are limited.

$25.00 per person*  (tour leaders and bus drivers are free).

The Columbia County Historical Society frequently schedules joint visits with the Martin Van Buren National Historic Site (1 mile south) and would be happy to work with the National Parks Service to coordinate a multi-site visit for your group.

Please contact ops@cchsny.org with any questions regarding your potential visit.

*Minimum total of $ 175.00 per tour group
