The Columbia County Historical Society includes a museum and research library, as well as three additional historic properties open to the public.

The Columbia County Historical Society Museum & Library includes three galleries of changing exhibitions, a research library and reading room, manuscript storage, collection storage and administrative offices. The Library is temporarily closed to the public and may be open by appointment in late-2021. Visit our reading room page for more information.

Multi-site passes are available seasonally for purchase which include admission to the National Historic Landmark Luykas Van Alen House, and Ichabod Crane Schoolhouse when we are open and during the Visitor Season (July-Oct).
